An iconic picture of Marilyn Monroe created by Andy Warhol is coming to public sale, with Christie’s public sale home estimating the worth at round $200 million.

The silkscreen picture often known as “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn,” a close-up of Monroe along with her hair in yellow, her eyeshadow blue and her lips pink, is slated to be a part of per week of gross sales in Could, Christie’s mentioned Monday.

If it met the sale estimate, the 1964 portray can be the costliest Twentieth-century art work to be auctioned, Christie’s mentioned.

The proceeds of the sale would go to the Thomas and Doris Ammann Basis Zurich, which is placing the portray up for public sale.

The inspiration goals to assist kids with well being care and academic packages.

Warhol created multiple picture of Monroe; this explicit portray has been exhibited in museums world wide.
